Our good friends Bob and Vivian opened their home once again for what is becoming Bobs annual basement get-together. Good music, good food and good company was had by all as the season windes down into fall.

We are pleased to announce that, Grammy nominated, musician, composer, and teacher, Gaurav Mazumdar is to base himself in Chicago for the consecutive 4th year to help carry on the work of our friend & Guru Patric Marks.

For the friends and students of Patric Marks we have some exciting updates. Margaret is again graciously opening her home to us to carry on this wonderful musical tradition.

Our friend Gaurav Mazumdar is returning to begin teaching again in the Chicagoland region. He will be available for lessons for students of all levels starting April first week and continue over the summer, fall and early winter. This is a marvelous opportunity to further your musical journey.

Sublime Journey

The 2011 tour, celebrating a confluence of Hindustani and Carnatic music was a great success. Its such a pleasure to hear the two musical traditions blend together in the hands of these incredibly talented musicians.

A memorial held at St Xaviers College Ahmedabad where thousands showed up to honor Patric. We are attempting to get names of people and musicians who where at the event but in the meantime we are putting up the photos for folks to see. Donald, Patric's brother is pretty obvious, If you where at the memorial or recognize anyone in the photos please send us the information.

The June 21st 2009 - Gathering of Friends- was held at the Historic Unity Temple in Oak Park Illinois. It was a wonderful event attended by hundreds of family, friends and students. The music, poetry and dancing was fantastic. Along with the good food it was a great tribute to Patric.
